TONING

Toning is a step that restores skin's Ph levels after cleansing. Moreover, it may remove the residues and pollutants and prepare skin to absorb better the skincare steps to come. 

Some toners are more harsh and drying, while another kinds are more mild. It can also contain some sort of actives too. In some cases they can be also called "face mists" or "refreshers". 

Toners may be applied by a cotton pad or simply tapping it on the skin with the fingers. 

       Pro tip: 

  • For more sensitive or dry skin avoid alcohol containing toners and choose more mild formulations. Leave active ingredients for your treatment step. 
  • If you are more advanced, consider to use "7 skin method".
