How to use

AM PM

Apply after cleansing with palms or a cotton pad.
For dehydrated skin, apply 2–3 thin layers if desired.

Key ingredients

71% Rice Bran Water — Forms the hydrating botanical base of the toner. Rice-derived components mainly contribute to skin conditioning and hydration rather than acting as an intensive treatment active.

Niacinamide — Supports epidermal barrier function and can help improve the appearance of dullness and uneven skin tone. Its relatively high position in the INCI makes it one of the more relevant functional ingredients in the formula.

Glycerin + Butylene Glycol + Methyl Gluceth-20 + Betaine — A combination of humectants that attracts and retains water in the upper layers of the skin, helping reduce the feeling of dehydration and tightness.

Sodium Hyaluronate + Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid + Hyaluronic Acid — Three forms of hyaluronic acid that provide additional humectant hydration and temporary surface plumping.

Ceramide NP + Ceramide AP + Ceramide EOP — Skin-identical barrier lipids that help support the structure of the stratum corneum and reduce moisture loss.

Cholesterol + Phytosphingosine — Important components of the skin's lipid barrier. Their combination with multiple ceramides makes the barrier-supporting aspect of this toner particularly interesting.

Panthenol + Allantoin — Soothing and hydrating ingredients that support skin comfort, particularly when the skin feels dry or sensitized.

Hydrogenated Lecithin — A phospholipid-based ingredient that supports the emollient/barrier-focused formulation and helps improve skin softness.

Arbutin + Ascorbic Acid — Brightening ingredients present relatively low in the INCI. I consider them supportive additions rather than the primary pigmentation treatment in this toner.

Milky Barrier-Supporting Toner with 71% Rice Bran Water, Niacinamide & Ceramides

The ANUA Rice 70 Glow Milky Toner is a lightweight milky toner designed to improve dehydration, dullness and skin-barrier comfort. Its current formula contains 71% rice bran water, alongside niacinamide and a substantial humectant base.

Glycerin, butylene glycol, methyl gluceth-20, betaine, panthenol and three forms of hyaluronic acid help retain water in the upper skin layers. More importantly for barrier support, the formula combines Ceramide NP, AP and EOP with cholesterol and phytosphingosine.

Arbutin and ascorbic acid are also present, but relatively low in the INCI; I consider them supportive rather than the primary pigmentation actives in this toner. The formula is fragrance-free.
