The Mary&May Vegan Peptide Bakuchiol Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++ combines high-level daily UV protection with bakuchiol, vitamin E and a complex of 25 peptides. Its compact stick format makes sunscreen application and reapplication particularly convenient throughout the day.
From a medical skincare perspective, the most important anti-aging feature of this product is its SPF50+ PA++++ protection. The formula uses a combination of modern UV filters including Uvinul A Plus (Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate), Uvinul T150 (Ethylhexyl Triazone), Tinosorb S (Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine) and Polysilicone-15. Together, these provide broad-spectrum protection across UVA and UVB wavelengths.
The formula additionally contains 1% bakuchiol, a plant-derived antioxidant that has gained attention in anti-aging skincare. Research suggests that bakuchiol may influence some pathways involved in skin aging and collagen metabolism. However, bakuchiol is not a retinoid, and I would not consider it a replacement for retinol simply because the two ingredients may share some biological effects.
An extensive complex of 25 peptides is also included, including Copper Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8. These provide additional skin-conditioning support and complement the anti-aging concept of the formulation.
Tocopherol (vitamin E) provides antioxidant support, helping complement the protection provided by sunscreen against environmental oxidative stress.
