For an evening routine with makeup or sunscreen, Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil has a clear purpose: loosen oil-soluble residue before you rinse it away. It spreads over dry skin, then turns into a milky emulsion when you add water.
The feature I find most useful is the combination of soybean oil, other emollients and an emulsifier. The oils help dissolve makeup and sebum; the emulsifier allows that oily mixture to rinse off. You get a cleansing step that relies on the formula rather than vigorous scrubbing.
Ginseng seed oil gives the product its botanical identity, but I would choose this for its cleansing function and texture. It is particularly practical if you wear layered sunscreen or makeup and want to reduce friction during removal.
