OCTINOXATE

Also called Ethylhexyl Methoxycinammate. The most commonly used chemical sunscreen is a clear, oil-soluble liquid that provides UVB protection (280-320nm). However, it does not protect against UVA rays, so it is advisable to use products with other sunscreens. Exposure to sunlight can reduce its effectiveness over time, losing 10% of its SPF protection ability in 35 minutes. Combining it with other sunscreen agents, such as Tinosorb S, can increase stability and provide broad-spectrum protection.

ENSULIZOLE

Also called Phenylbezimidazole sulfonic acid. This chemical sunscreen provides strong UVB protection (in the range 280-320nm). Unlike other sunscreen agents, it is water-soluble, making it ideal for creating light, oily skin compatible formulas. It is also photostable and can be used to enhance the stability of other UV filters in a formula, such as avobenzone. It is approved worldwide and can be used up to 4% in the US and up to 8% in the EU.

TINOSORB

Also called Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, one of the best sunscreen agents known today. This chemical oil-soluble sunscreen agent provides broad-spectrum protection across the UVB and UVA range (280-400 nm). Unlike older UV filters, it is highly photostable, deteriorating very little in the presence of UV light. It is also useful for stabilizing other, less stable sunscreen agents and has great safety profile. 

AMYLOXATE

Also called as Isoamyl-P-Methoxycinnamate. A chemical sunscreen ingredient, soluble in oil, protects against UVB radiation (290-320 nm) and some additionally in the UVA II (320-340nm) rang. It is a newer generation UV filter that is approved up to 10% in the EU.

TITANIUM DIOXIDE

It's one of the two members of the sunscreen group called physical sunscreens. Titanium dioxide is highly stable and gives bright UV-protection: it's very good in UVB and UVA II range, and less good at UVA I range. Regular sized Titanium Dioxide also has a great safety profile, it's non-irritating and is pretty much free from any health concerns.

ALOE ARBORESCENS

Aloe arborescens, also known as the krantz aloe, is a species of aloe plant that is native to southern Africa. Aloe arborescens contains a variety of beneficial compounds, such as polysaccharides, anthraquinones, and amino acids, that can have positive effects on the skin. These compounds are believed to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and moisturizing properties that can help to soothe and nourish the skin.
