SODIUM ASCORBYL PHOSPHATE

The sodium salt form of skincare superstar, vitamin c. Pure vitamin C (aka ascorbic acid) has great effects on skin (boosting collagen production, fading hyperpigmentation, antioxidance), but its lack of stability is a big challenge for the cosmetics industry. SAP is a promising derivative that has great stability, however, skin penetration seems to be limited.

PANTHENOL

Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), is a water-soluble vitamin that is widely used in skincare products due to its ability to improve skin hydration and texture. It has a moisturizing effect on the skin by enhancing its barrier function, which helps to prevent transepidermal water loss. Panthenol also has anti-inflammatory properties that can help to soothe irritated or inflamed skin. It can also help to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by promoting skin cell regeneration.

CAMU CAMU EXTRACT

Camu camu is a small berry, that has gained popularity in the skincare industry due to its high concentration of vitamin C. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that can help to protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can lead to premature aging and other skin concerns. Additionally, camu camu contains other beneficial compounds, such as flavonoids and ellagic acid, which have anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties.

NIACINAMIDE

Also called as vitamin B3, it is a real superstar with many benefits to the skin: it smoothes the wrinkles, fades brown spots, strengthens skin barrier. It can also improve skin problems such as acne, rosacea and atopic dermatitis.

HYALURONIC ACID

It is also called a natural moisturising factor, because it is naturally found in skin and can bind up water up to 1000 times its own weight. Hyaluronic acid is the "raw" version of this molecule, which is high molecular weight (> 1,800kDa). On skin, it remains on the surface and prevents water from evaporating. It also moisturizes the surface layers of the skin.

SODIUM HYALURONATE

It's a salt form of a famous hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural moisturising factor (NMF). It is more stable and has lower molecular weight than HA, therefore penetrates deeper into the epidermis (till stratum granulosum). It rejuvenates the skin by reinforcing and stimulating natural HA production in the epidermis.

HYDROLIZED HYALURONIC ACID

This is the hydrolysate of hyaluronic acid, meaning it has been chemically split up into smaller fragments. It has a lower molecular weight compared to regular hyaluronic acid, which allows it to penetrate the skin more deeply. Once it penetrates the skin, it can bind to water molecules, effectively moisturizing the skin. It also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which can improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

TOCOPHEROL ACETATE

Tocopherol Acetate is esterified version of Vitamin E. Due to its strong antioxidant properties, when vitamin E is applied to the skin it provides protection against acute UVB damage. It also protects the skin from environmental pollution and reduces inflammation.
