OAT EXTRACT

Oat is loaded with compounds good for the body: beta-glucan (5%), lipids (3-11%) including barrier repairing omega-3 and 6 fatty acids or phenolic antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents (avenanthramides). Because of these compounds, oat has soothing, antioxidant and skin-protecting abilities and is perfect for dry, irritated, inflamed or eczema-prone skin.

SODIUM ASCORBYL PHOSPHATE

The sodium salt form of skincare superstar, vitamin C. Pure vitamin C (aka ascorbic acid) has great effects on skin (boosting collagen production, fading hyperpigmentation, antioxidance), but its lack of stability is a big challenge for the cosmetics industry. SAP is a promising derivative that has great stability, however, skin penetration seems to be limited.

LACTIC ACID

Lactic acid, a second well researched AHA after glycolic acid. Like Glycolic acid it has exfoliant and skin hydrating abilities. The main difference between these two molecules is that lactic acid is bigger, and therefore does not penetrate skin as deep as glycolic acid does. Because of that it is a little bit milder exfoliant than glycolic acid.

A subtropical plant that thrives in flooded environments and is claimed to give excellent long-term moisturizing effects.
