Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate. The most commonly used chemical sunscreen is a clear, oil-soluble liquid that provides UVB protection. However, it does not protect against UVA rays, so it is advisable to use products with other sunscreens. Exposure to sunlight can reduce its effectiveness over time, losing 10% of its SPF protection ability in 35 minutes. 

ETHYLHEXYL SALICYLATE

Not a strong filter, protecting from UVB rays. It is safe to use in 5% concentrations. However it is advisable to use it with other sunscreen filters. 

PHENYLBENZIMIDAZOLE SULFONIC ACID

REEF SAFE

This chemical sunscreen provides strong UVB protection. Unlike other sunscreen agents, it is water-soluble, making it ideal for creating light, oily skin compatible formulas. It is approved worldwide and can be used up to 4% in the US and up to 8% in the EU.

Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate is a high-performing chemical sunscreen ingredient with broad-spectrum UVA protection and excellent photostability. Approved for use in most countries at concentrations up to 10%, except for the US and Canada (due to surreal FDA regulations).
