The Medicube Hyaluronic Ceramide Jelly Cream is a lightweight moisturizer developed for dehydrated skin and a weakened skin barrier. Its formula combines 10 forms of hyaluronic acid, multiple ceramides and peptides to improve moisture retention while keeping the texture fresh and non-greasy.
From a skin-health perspective, I particularly like the combination of hyaluronic acid and ceramides. Hyaluronic acid acts as a humectant, attracting and retaining water within the skin, which helps improve plumpness and reduce the appearance of dehydration lines. The formula contains different forms of hyaluronic acid with varying properties, supporting hydration across the skin surface.
The ceramide complex, together with cholesterol and phytosphingosine, supports the lipid structure of the skin barrier. A well-functioning barrier is essential for reducing transepidermal water loss and maintaining healthy hydration levels—particularly in dry, sensitive or barrier-compromised skin.
The formula also contains niacinamide, which supports barrier function and helps improve uneven skin tone, as well as ectoin, squalane and allantoin for additional moisturizing and soothing care. A multi-peptide complex, including Copper Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, complements the formulation and supports a smoother, firmer-looking complexion.
Despite its extensive hydrating formula, the cream has a refreshing jelly-like texture that absorbs quickly without leaving a heavy or greasy film. This makes it particularly suitable for those who need substantial hydration but prefer a lighter moisturizer.
