The Anua Rice 70 Glow Milky Toner is a lightweight milky toner designed to improve dehydration, dullness and skin-barrier function while leaving the complexion soft and naturally luminous.
The formula is based on 71% rice bran water, making rice a substantial component of the formulation rather than simply a marketing ingredient. Rice-derived ingredients contain naturally occurring amino acids and antioxidant compounds and provide additional moisturizing and skin-conditioning support.
From a medical skincare perspective, however, some of the most interesting ingredients are found beyond the rice itself.
Niacinamide appears high in the ingredient list. This well-studied form of vitamin B3 supports epidermal barrier function, helps regulate sebum production and can improve uneven pigmentation by reducing the transfer of melanin-containing melanosomes to epidermal cells. This makes it particularly useful for skin that appears dull or uneven while also experiencing dehydration.
The toner contains three forms of hyaluronic acid—sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and hyaluronic acid. These act primarily as humectants, helping attract and retain water within the upper layers of the skin and temporarily improving the appearance of fine dehydration lines.
Glycerin, betaine, panthenol and methyl gluceth-20 provide additional humectant support, creating a multi-layered moisturizing formula rather than relying on hyaluronic acid alone.
What I particularly like about this toner is the addition of Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP and Ceramide EOP together with cholesterol and phytosphingosine. These ingredients mimic components naturally found within the lipid matrix of the stratum corneum and help support an intact skin barrier and reduce excessive water loss.
The formula additionally contains arbutin and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) for complementary brightening and antioxidant support. However, because they appear toward the end of the ingredient list, I would consider them supporting ingredients rather than positioning this as an intensive pigmentation treatment.
The result is a hydrated, softer and more luminous complexion without the heaviness of a traditional cream.

Ideal For
Dry, dehydrated, normal and combination skin, particularly when the skin feels tight, looks dull or needs additional barrier support.
The lightweight texture can also work well for oily skin that is dehydrated and needs water and barrier support without a heavy moisturizer.

Anwendung
- After cleansing, apply an appropriate amount to the palms and gently press into the face until absorbed.
- Alternatively, apply with a cotton pad and gently sweep across the skin.
- For very dehydrated skin, the toner can be applied in 2–3 thin layers, allowing each layer to absorb before applying the next.
- Follow with serum and moisturizer. In the morning, finish with broad-spectrum sunscreen.

- What I like most about this toner is not simply the “rice glow” concept. From a formulation perspective, the combination of humectants + niacinamide + ceramides + cholesterol + phytosphingosine is much more interesting. Healthy skin hydration depends not only on adding water but also on maintaining an effective lipid barrier that prevents excessive transepidermal water loss. This makes the toner particularly useful when skin is both dehydrated and barrier-compromised.
