Real AHA BHA PHA Calming Care Mask

The SOME BY MI Real AHA BHA PHA Calming Care Mask is designed for skin that feels rough, congested or dull and needs a combination of gentle exfoliating care, hydration and soothing support.

The formula combines three different hydroxy acids: AHA (citric acid), BHA (salicylic acid) and PHA (lactobionic acid). Each works slightly differently within skincare. AHAs primarily act on the skin surface and support the removal of accumulated dead skin cells, while salicylic acid is oil-soluble, making BHA particularly interesting for oily skin, clogged pores and blackheads. PHA provides very gentle surface exfoliation while also having humectant properties.

Importantly, the acids in this particular sheet mask are present at very low concentrations (1 ppm each). From a medical skincare perspective, I therefore consider the mask a mild supportive treatment rather than an intensive exfoliant. It is a good option when you want to refresh the complexion without introducing a high-strength acid treatment.

The formula also contains glycerin and propanediol to provide hydration, while allantoin and dipotassium glycyrrhizate help soothe the skin and reduce feelings of irritation. Vitamin E (tocopherol) adds antioxidant support.

The result is hydrated, refreshed skin that feels softer and appears smoother and more even.
